On May 13, 1985, the city aggressively tried to remove the radical group MOVE from the row house at 6221 Osage Ave. in W. Philly. In the climax of a chaotic stand-off on that day, the Philadelphia Police Department dropped an explosive device on the MOVE house, setting off a fire that, by evening, had brought most of the block and a row of homes behind it on Pine Street to the ground.
Yes, 30 years ago Today, Philadelphia Police Dropped a Bomb on a Black Liberation Group, MOVE but later paid $ 1.5 million towards damages to the lone survivor and two kids.

I appreciate what the Home Minister has said. But its only the first step. Once allegations are leveled against leaders, ministers, bureaucrats etc. there ought to be keen, transparent investigation by skilled police officers with clean hands. (It is said that luckily we now have such a good team of officers in the vigilance dept. in Kerala, thank God).
