Adv Alex Abraham Odikandathil I am unsure if you understood the expression cited above, correctly.
Still it holds the whole truth.
The expression "MORE sinned against than sinning" comes from Shakespeare's King Lear (3:2),
where the King while on a heath during the deadly storm, so describes his miserable plight.
And it means "somebody is less guilty when compared with the injury he/ she has sustained because of it" ;
definitely not what Achen intended upon.
(Eg. if she took the money, it was because others owed it to her).

Let me switch over to Malayalam for practical purposes: ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട അച്ചൻ അവഹേളിച്ചത്- മനപ്പൂർവം അല്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ പോലും-
സരിതയെ അല്ല; സ്ത്രീത്വത്തെയാണ്. പീഡിതയായ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയുടെ സ്വഭാവഹത്യ നടത്തുകയല്ല,
പ്രത്യുത, അവരുടെ പരാതികൾ നിഷ്പക്ഷമായി അന്വേഷിച്ചു അവർക്ക് നീതി ഉറപ്പാക്കുകയാണ്
ഒരു നല്ല സർക്കാർ ചെയ്യേണ്ടിയിരുന്നത്; ഒപ്പം അവർ പറയുന്നത് കള്ളമാണന്നു തെളിഞ്ഞാൽ
