It is their fate...

latest headlines via ema

There are thousands of children in Pakistan now suffering after record monsoon rains which left 20 percent of their country - an area of the size of Great Britain- under water. In fact, every child on earth born after June 23, 1988 belongs to a hot generation. This generation includes some two billion young people, all of whom have grown up under global warming and are fated to spend the rest of their lives confronting its mounting impacts. For them, the brutal summer of 2010 is not an anomaly; it's the new normal.

One wouldn't know it from most media coverage, but the world's leading climate scientists have concluded that last summer's rash of extreme weather -- including record heat across much of Europe (especially Russia) and the United States -- was driven in no small part by man-made global warming. Of course no single event can ever be definitively attributed to global warming; weather results from many factors. But according to the U.N.'s World Meteorological Organization, the extraordinary heat, rains, drought and flooding that occurred this summer fit the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's projections of more frequent and more intense extreme weather events due to global warming." In other words, dangerous climate change is no longer tomorrow's problem; it is here today- NOW.

But for most of us, the other scientific shoe has yet to drop. Aside from a fundamentalist few, most people around the world, in rich and poor countries alike, accept that climate change is real and has already begun to occur. Nevertheless, many non-specialists still do not grasp the most fiendish aspect of the climate problem: we can't turn it off. No matter how many solar panels, electric cars and other green technologies the humans may embrace, the fact remains that more severe climate change is locked in for decades to come. The reason is the physical inertia of the climate system: the fact that carbon dioxide can remain in the atmosphere for centuries. Even if global greenhouse gas emissions were magically halted overnight, sheer physical inertia would keep average global temperatures rising for another thirty years at least, scientists say.

Not every future summer will be as punitive as 2010 was, but more and more will be. Today's men who live in New York City, for example, will endure roughly twice as many extremely hot summer days in the 2020s as they do today, according to the New York City Panel on Climate Panel- a group of scientific, government and business leaders advising the city government.

Growing enough food will also be a challenge. Corn, one of world's key staple crops, does not reproduce at temperatures above 95 degrees Fahrenheit. During the 20th century, America's breadbasket- Iowa State- experienced three straight days of 95 F temperatures. By 2040 Iowa is projected to experience such hot spells in three summers out of four... a big disaster ready to happen!!

No matter how many solar panels, electric cars and other green technologies are effected, the fact remains that more severe climate change is locked in for decades to come... A dire warning, indeed!!!

Thank you and enjoy the rest of your week.

Mass Madness Reviewed:

The Bushes still ride high, and their caucus... for they did not lose the life of a single family member in the war in Iraq.

We are told that 88 percent of Americans are in favor of war!

The US defence budget has been raised to around $360 billion!!

A splendid new generation of nuclear weapons is in the pipeline, so that we can all breathe safely!!!

But what the 88 percent of Americans think they support is a lot less clear....

A war for how long, please? At what cost to the American lives?

At what cost to the American taxpayer’s pockets?

At what cost to the rest of the world?

Speak, at what cost ???

I know most of those 88 percent are thoroughly decent, compassionate and humane people...

I remember my frustration with the propaganda of blatant lies that the Bush Administration and the corporate media pumped out regarding the ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’ that Saddam Hussein, reportedly, was going to unleash on the shores of America. There was the constant, sickening drum beat for war, and nearly all the people of the country fell for it. People, in their rage and ignorance, supported the war against Hussein for his role on 9/11. Soon we saw the immense destruction and demise of Iraq that was never a threat to anybody. We saw that this illegal, unethical, and unneeded war would also cost the American people, not only in terms of lives, but in terms of the funding of a war machinery necessary to wage a war of epic proportions.

We witnessed how the mass hysteria was programmed and delivered into the American psyche; it almost seemed impossible to stop it.

In Hitler’s Germany, there were rational people who warned the people against fascism. In Bush’s America there was none. Sadly, America has not evolved since the lunacy of the Bush days. The inability to comprehend the truth about Iraq has cost over a million lives in that country. Tens of thousands of American soldiers’ lives, lost in the battle, scars the body and mind of the world. An estimated 3 trillion dollars will be spent on this war or even more.

But we still don’t understand. We see an endless war as the only way to 'go forth'.

We see corporate rules as freedom. We have learnt greed is good.

We are ill-schooled to connect the dots. The Americans are hopelessly and irredeemably crazy due to ignorance.

Still there has to be someone to tell the truth in a country that is in a continual state of negation, depravity and insanity. Those 88% of Americans that supported the War Against Iraq should be ashamed of themselves. Shame is a good thing if it leads to better choices, though. If you happen to comprise that 88%, please vow to make amends, thats what we call intellectual honesty.

Enjoy the rest of your week-end.

Sex & the Almighty..

When minds build walls around themselves, conflicts are inevitable.

When those barriers are broken down and minds expand to merge

with each other, there will be peace, harmony and the resultant bliss.

Here Spirituality begins...

Love brings joy exactly because of this. When you love someone, your

mind expands to meet him/ her. But human love is often tainted with the

inherent impurities of the human mind. Jealousy, ownership, selfishness

and suspicion often pollute pure love.

Then love becomes torture-

where man gets transformed into another pathetic condition.

The Maker had foreseen this, I'd imagine.

So for us to experience the bliss of union and oneness, at least transiently,

he incorporated a built- in mechanism into our systems:

which is sexuality and eroticism.

It also is the beginning of New Life.

Spiritual traditions in many parts of the world accept this as truth.

Ancient India had masters who realized that sex is worship.

And one step farther, they said worship can be erotic as well.

This is how tantric eroticism started appearing in our ancient art and literature.

Traditional concepts of the west ignored this aspect of human nature.

To them, sex was meant only for procreation.

As a result, people started seeing it as dirty

and became secretive about their sexuality.

I was thrilled to embark upon this poem written by Edward Carpenter.

Before this, I have not read anything in English literature which

connects the sexual act with God. It reads:

LOVE'S VISION

by: Edward Carpenter (1844-1929)

(19th cent English poet and social reformist)

T night in each other’s arms,
Content, overjoyed, resting deep deep down in the darkness,
Lo! the heavens opened and He appeared--
Whom no mortal eye may see,
Whom no eye clouded with Care,
Whom none who seeks after this or that, whom none who has not escaped from self.

There- in the region of Equality, in the world of Freedom no longer limited,
Standing as a lofty peak in heaven above the clouds,
From below hidden, yet to all who pass into that region most clearly visible--
      He the Eternal appeared.

You may want to disagree..
Alright, lets agree to disagree then.
And enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Start your day with these beautiful thoughts...

I've been lethargic these days, may be accounted towards my slip and fall and hence in no mood to think today; like any other day, for that matter. But that acts detrimental to my blog of the mid-week and so came up with this idea.. viz., sharing the ideas of men of greater standing.. Enjoy!

Start ur day with these beautiful thoughts.... ..!

Napoleon....
"The world suffers a lot. Not because of the violence of bad people,

But because of the silence of good people!"

Einstein
.....
"I am thankful to all those who said NO to me
Its because of them I did it myself.."

Abraham Lincoln
....
"If friendship is your weakest point then you are the strongest person in the world"

Shakespeare
.....
"Laughing faces do not mean that there is absence of sorrow!
But it means that they have the ability to deal with it".

Willian Arthur
.....
"Opportunities are like sunrises, if you wait too long you can miss them".

Shakespeare.....
"Never play with the feelings of others because you may win the game

But the risk is that you will surely loose the person for a life time".

Hitler
.....
"When you are in the light, everything follows you,
But when you enter into the dark, even your own shadow fails to follow you."

Shakespeare.....
"Coin always makes sound but the Currency Notes are always silent.
So when your value increases, keep yourself calm silent"

John Keats.....

"It is very easy to defeat someone, but it is very hard to win someone"

Thanks and enjoy the rest of your week.

Take time to run in the rain...

A little girl had been shopping with her mom in a Wal-Mart Store.
She must have been 6 years old- a beautiful, red haired, freckle-
faced image of innocence. It was heavily pouring outside: the
kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, in such a hurry
as to hit the earth when it has no time to flow down the spout.
We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door.

We waited, some patiently, but others irritated because nature messed
up their busy day. I am kind of a person who always get mesmerized by
rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away
the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing like a
carefree child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries
of my day.

The little voice came so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were
all engulfed in..

"Mom, let's run through the rain," she said.

"What?" the mother asked.

"Let 's run through the rain!" She repeated.

"No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit," the mom replied.

This young child waited about another minute and repeated:
"Mom, let's run through the rain,"

"We'll get soaked if we do," Mom said.

"No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning," the
young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm.

"This morning?
When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?"

"Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer,
you said, 'If God can get us through this, He can get us through anything!"

The entire crowd fell dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but
the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes.

Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she should say..
Now, some would laugh it off and scold her for being so silly.
Some might even ignore her request.
But this had to be a moment of righteous affirmation in a child's life...
A time when innocent trust could be nurtured so that it blooms into faith.

"Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain.
If GOD lets us get wet, well, maybe we just need a washing," Mom said.

Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughing
as they darted past the cars and, yes, through the puddles.
They held their shopping bags over their heads.. just in case...
Nevertheless, they got soaked.....
But they were followed by many who screamed and
laughed like children all the way to their respective cars.

And yes, they did... they ran...they got wet... they needed a washing...
But that was it... blessed were they!

A friend sent this to remind me about the nature of life.
Hope you enjoy it.

Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions,
they can take your money away; they can even take your health away.
But no one can ever take your precious memories away.....
So, don't forget to make use of time and invent opportunities to create
glowing memories everyday.
And every action should have a purpose under the sun.

I HOPE YOU STILL TAKE TIME TO RUN THROUGH THE RAIN.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to really
appreciate them, a day to love them, then an entire life to forget them.
If you don't send it to someone, it only means that you're in a hurry...

Take time to live!

Keep in touch with your friends, you never know when you'll need
each other and don't forget to run in the rain!

Thank you and enjoy the rest of your week-end.

American Government’s Winning the Drug War!?!

In Orwell’s “1984,” Oceania’s perpetual war with the other superpowers of Eurasia and Eastasia was never meant to be won. Its primary purpose was to absorb the economy’s surplus output and serve as a prop to the kind of domestic authoritarianism generally associated with perpetual warfare states. Oceania couldn’t afford to “win” the war — or rather, never winning was the real victory — because the main purpose of fighting it was to support an ongoing system of power.

The War on Drugs, similarly, helps to prop up a system of power. Listening to people like Dianne Feinstein argue against drug legalization or decriminalization, you’d almost get the idea that the U.S. government really wants to stop drug use. But it doesn’t.

Domestically, of course, the Drug War promotes police statism and the erosion of civil liberties. But perhaps its most important function is to keep up the price of illegal drugs so that the people controlling the black markets can make money off the drug trade. The international drug lords are the biggest supporters of drug prohibition.

That’s why the War on Drugs will never be won — its whole purpose is to make the drug trade more lucrative for the sinister forces that control it.

And guess what? The United States intelligence community and the banking industry comprise the biggest international drug cartel. They put Medellin to shame.

Alfred W. McCoy, in “The Politics of Heroin: CIA Complicity in the Global Drug Trade” (2003), provides some useful historical perspective.

Until the Kuomintang was driven out of Burma by a coup in 1961, the CIA encouraged it to expand the opium trade as a source of funding. Afterward, the CIA facilitated the drug trade in Laos and Vietnam through the 1960s. During the 1980s the CIA’s covert support for the Mujahideen in Afghanistan, in cooperation with the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) and the Safari Club (a network of foreign intelligence agencies formed to help the CIA fund operations not authorized by Congress), “transformed Central Asia from a self-contained opium zone into a major supplier of heroin for the world market.” The American-backed Mujahideen controlled poppy farming in Afghanistan, and the CIA and its clients provided the political cover and logistic support to link the Afghan poppy industry to heroin markets in the United States and Western Europe. The BCCI served as a major conduit for laundering and transferring drug money.

And don’t forget the role of American government drug lords in financing the Nicaraguan Contras with money from the sale of crack cocaine in the United States. Best of all, the Reagan administration — at the very same time it used harsher drug laws to increase revenue from its drug trade — could use the “nationwide crack epidemic” to build public support for intensified police statism at home. So not only did the War on Drugs give the U.S. government the means to fund death squads around the world — it gave it the domestic means to militarize police departments and turn constitutional due process restraints into toilet paper.

Using the drug trade to fund terror and repression around the world, while bringing the domestic population under ever tighter control — all under the pretense of combating drug use. If that isn’t a“two-fer,” from the parasitic state’s perspective, I don’t know what is.

Thank you and enjoy the rest of your week..

How the rich would have you think...

One of the things we can all do to be like the rich is to think positive.
Don't let people tell you the truth and don't dare to believe in the truth.
You need to minimize your exposure to the fear based- thinkers who
may come in all shapes and forms- teachers, preachers and parents.
It is always best to believe in fairy tales about wealth and wealth creation.
That way it is easier for the super- rich to screw you. If people were to
actually use their reasoning and examine the system, the rich could
no longer screw you with the help of their government.

The rich are different than us these days. They are, in fact, more special.
That is why they deserve to be bailed out by crores from the public funds.
That is why we happily allow them government welfare like tax cuts while
the poor have to face poverty and homelessness.

This trash is what most people subconsciously believe. After all, we have
been programmed from infancy to see the rich as deserving and the rest
of the struggling humanity suffering because they are not deserving.
Remember how GB Shaw differentiated between the deserving poor and
the undeserving poor? Strictly in harder lines than that.

The "Rich are a Special Lie" is sold to the Indian psyche in a variety of ways.
Recently someone decided to put it all down in a book. So you can read it
to reinforce your already conditioned psyche about the rich being better.

His name is Steve Siebold who authored "How the Rich People Think."
In his book he contrasts the rich and their special abilities with the rest
of the common losers.

Middle class focuses on saving;
World class focuses on earning.
Middle class believes hard work creates wealth;
World class believes leverage creates wealth.
Middle class believes money is earned through labor;
World class believes money is earned through thought.
Middle class worries about running out of money;
World class thinks about how to make more money.
Middle class operates from a fear based consciousness;
World class operates in a consciousness of abundance.
Middle class sees money through the eyes of emotion;
World class sees money through the eyes of logic.
Middle class believes getting rich is outside their control;
World class knows getting rich is an inside job..

Siebold is right about getting rich as an inside job. It helps if you can have
the government give you tax credits, bail out your investments, control the
market for you, and allows you to operate in a near global monopoly.
If its so in America, why can't it be in India too?
Does it sound absurd? But so are most people.
They like to believe in nonsense.
It is far easier than thinking...

Thank you,

EUGENICS: The Ideology Of Death Culture

Our intuition tells many of us that the single greatest problem on earth,

along with, and inextricably linked to, climate change is overpopulation.

The earth is beginning to seem as overrun by human as a forlorn granary is by mice.

But, in politics, the issue is - to use a term bordering on over-used these days - a “third rail.”

(In other words, to those unfamiliar with commuter rail lines, no one wants to touch it.)

First, it antagonizes conservative Christians, who view the edict “go forth and multiply” as a virtual amendment to the Ten Commandments.

Second, many whites in America interpret advisory warnings to keep family size down as an open invitation to American Latinos to surpass them in numbers.

The third concern comes from the left, some of whom think that attempts to control population are the works of those who believe in modern-day eugenics (the dark side of genetic engineering).

The influential nineteenth century British scholar Thomas Malthus, wrote:

The power of population is so superior to the power of the earth to produce subsistence for man, that premature death must in some shape or other visit the human race. The vices of mankind are active and able ministers of depopulation. They are the precursors in the great army of destruction, and often finish the dreadful work themselves. But should they fail in this war of extermination, sickly seasons, epidemics, pestilence, and plague advance in terrific array, and sweep off their thousands and tens of thousands. Should success be still incomplete, gigantic inevitable famine stalks in the rear, and with one mighty blow levels the population with the food of the world."

In the U N O's so-called International Conference on Population and Development, scheduled to be held in Cairo in the September of this year, the genocidal bureaucrats of the U.N. are seeking to condition governments and public opinion worldwide to accept the notion of a “carrying capacity” for our planet. In other words, the U.N. butchers would like to establish scientific credibility for the idea that there is an absolute theoretical maximum number of persons the earth can support. Some preliminary documents for the Cairo conference set a world population level of 7.27 billion to be imposed for the year 2050, using compulsory abortion, sterilization, euthanasia and other grisly means. It is clear that the U.N. and its oligarchical supporters seek to exterminate population groups in excess of the limit.

Whether or not overpopulation has the potential to be turned to its own uses by the ruling and corporate classes doesn’t make it any less pressing an issue.

Nor does it absolve us of the responsibility to devise and implement solutions.
