Analysis:The man with the dirty face will assume that he looks like the other with the clean face, not requiring a wash. The man with the clean face thinks vice- versa making him wash his face well to remove the grime.

  Alex Abraham Odikandathil I like this school as I was a student there from 1965-66 to 1967-68. And what made this school likable was the very presence of its then Headmaster, A V JOHN SIR of Elimullummakkal House- another Thomas Arnold of Rugby. He was a devoted teacher who nurtured each one of his little men and women from nullity to celebrity. The word ‘teacher’ represents knowledge; teaching connotes transfer of knowledge from the teacher to the taught. In fact, the foundation that makes a person grow in life is to a great extent based on the knowledge he acquires from his teacher. If there is somebody other than our parents who plays an important role in our mental development, its our teachers.They inspire you, entertain you, and you end up learning a ton even when you are not aware of it. The calling of the teacher, to which I'm an insider too: hmm... there is no craft more privileged. To awaken in another human being powers and dreams beyond one’s own, to induce in others a love for that which one loves, to make out from one’s inward self their very future: wow... that is a threefold advantage a teacher only has title to. I personally feel that education is not to reform students, to amuse them or to make them experts in certain fields so as to establish employability. To me, its purpose is to unsettle their minds, widen their horizons, inflame their intellects, teach them to think, re-think; write, re-write; learn, re-learn: to bring about a commotion in their thought process, to equip them to question and challenge ideas. “Matha Pitha Guru Deivam” is a very popular adage in Sanskrit. Transalated, it is “Mother Father Teacher God” which provides the order in which one should offer reverence. The phrase is a basic tenet from the time of the Vedas and represents the hierarchy in which one should respect these entities. Every Dick and Harry will not qualify for it, but Late Mr. A.V. JOHN rightly deserved it. And I'm sure, any one of his students will vouch for it.. A great teacher can ignite imagination, inspire hope, and instill love of learning in the minds of the taught and that was MY JOHN SIR, and I am sure everyone who knew him will bear witness to it. സമാനതകൾ ഇല്ലാത്ത പ്രിയ ഗുരുവേ, അങ്ങയുടെ നിത്യ സ്മരണക്കു മുമ്പിൽ നിറ കണ്ണുകളോടെ പ്രണാമം!

For the world to evolve as we see in its present fashion must have taken many long years.That may be why I don't have much of a regard when I hear 18-year-olds as well as 62-year-olds but 'next-to-mentally-retarded' talk. During the wedding rehearsal, the groom approached the priest with an unusual offer. "Look, I'll give you $100 if you'll slightly change the wedding vows. When my turn comes, and the part where I'm to promise 'to love, honor and obey' and 'forsaking all others be faithful to her forever', I'd appreciate if you'd just leave that part out." He tossed the clergyman a $100 bill and walked away, thrilled.

Its now the day of the wedding, and the bride and the groom have entered that part of the ceremony where the vows are exchanged. When it is time for the groom's vows, the priest looked the young man in his eyes and asked: "Will you promise to prostrate yourself before her, obey her every command and wish, serve her breakfast in bed on every morning of your life and swear eternally before God and your lovely wife that you will not ever even look at another woman, as long as you both shall live?" The groom gulped, looked around and said in a low tone, "Yes."
