കന്യാസ്ത്രീ മഠങ്ങളിൽ അടിക്കടി സംഭവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന അപകടമരണങ്ങൾക്ക് കാരണമായി ഉടനടി കേള്ക്കുന്ന തൊടുന്യായം മരണപ്പെട്ടവർ "മാനസിക സമ്മർദ്ദം" അനുഭവിച്ചു വരികയാരുന്നു എന്നത്രെ. അതിന്റെ അർഥം നടന്നത് കൊലപാതകമല്ല, ആത്മഹത്യ ആണെന്നും! എന്നാൽ ഇങ്ങനെ നടന്ന മരണങ്ങളിൽ പലതും അന്വേഷണത്തിൽ കൊലപാതകമായി സ്ഥിരീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. അഥവാ, മാനസിക സമ്മർദ്ദമാണെങ്കിൽ തന്നെ, അതിനു പിന്നിൽ നിരന്തര ചൂഷണവും അസ്സഹനീയ പീഡനവും ഉണ്ടാകാനുള്ള സാധ്യത വളരെയേറെയാണ്‌.
ഇങ്ങനെ മിക്കവാറും എല്ലാ കന്യാസ്ത്രീകൾക്കും മാനസിക പിരിമുറുക്കം ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവർ നിവസിക്കുന്ന മഠങ്ങളിൽ എന്താണ് സംഭവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് അധികാരികൾ അന്വേഷിക്കാത്തത് എന്തുകൊണ്ട്? ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ മണവാട്ടികൾ ആകാൻ വ്രതമെടുത്ത അവർക്ക് മറ്റനേകരുടെ അഭീഷ്ടങ്ങല്ക്കൊത്തു ആടെണ്ടി വരുന്നതാണോ സമ്മര്ദകാരണം എന്നന്വേഷിക്കുനത് ഉചിതമായിരിക്കും. ഈ വിഷയത്തിൽ വിഷയാന്വേഷികൾക്കും സ്ത്രീ ശാക്തീകരണ വക്താക്കൾക്കും വനിതാ സാഹിത്യ- രാഷ്ട്രീയ നേതാക്കൾക്കും മതനേതൃത്വങ്ങല്ക്കും സ്വന്തമായി വല്ല അഭിപ്രായവുമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അതെന്താണെന്നറിയാൻ പൊതുസമൂഹത്തിനു താല്പ്പര്യമുണ്ട്.
